New restaurant in Majorna - Bamba opens in Fixfabriken

We at Bamba are happy to announce that we are opening a new restaurant in Gothenburg - this time in the heart of Majorna, more specifically in the historic Fixfabriken area. Scheduled to open in May 2025, this will be our second establishment in the city, where we continue our passion for serving Swedish home cooking in Gothenburg, with classic dishes in a modern twist.

Since opening in Masthugget in 2016, Bamba has become a local favorite for anyone who loves genuine, well-prepared food with a nostalgic twist. Our menu celebrates dishes many associate with the school canteen - bamba - such as breaded fish with boiled potatoes and sauce, cobbler's box and not least our signature dish: veal meatballs with mashed potatoes, raw lingonberries and pickled cucumber. If you are looking for really good meatballs in Gothenburg - welcome to Bamba!

A restaurant with a history and a future

Our new restaurant in Majorna will be located in Fixfabriken's old garage section - a building with a strong industrial history where many original details, such as the garage doors, have been preserved and restored. The venue can accommodate around 60 seated guests and is complemented by a large outdoor terrace - perfect for long lunches and lovely evenings in the sun.

In addition to lunch and dinner with a focus on home cooking in Gothenburg, we will also offer café service with really good coffee during the day. We hope that Bamba Fixfabriken will become a natural meeting place for both residents in the area and hungry guests from all over the city.
