There's one word that perfectly sums up our love for Gothenburg, Swedish food culture, and especially Sweden's school meal traditions – Bamba.
That's why we opened our restaurant in Gothenburg in 2016 with the same name, to keep that culture alive. Here, the vibe is super relaxed, the food is homemade and delicious, local microbreweries are well-represented, and our guests even say we have the best authentic Swedish food in Gothenburg! In May 2025, we're opening the doors to our second home when we launch a new restaurant in Majorna, specifically at Fixfabriken.

At Bamba, we serve classic, homemade Swedish home-style cooking with an international twist. Every week, our menu features one or more special dishes that complement our regular menu.
WIDE SELECTION OF DRINKS
Finding the right beer, wine or non-alcoholic alternative to go with your food can sometimes be difficult - but our wide selection makes it easier. Ask the staff what they think goes best with what you're eating and you're guaranteed to be satisfied. Bamba has a big selection of beer, wine, drinks and non-alcoholic options.
QUIZ AND THEME NIGHTS
Every Wednesday (Masthugget) and every other Tuesday (Fixfabriken) at 7:00 p.m., we host a quiz night at Bamba. We also hold popular theme nights several times a year, which sell out almost immediately.
FRIDAY LUNCH AT FIXFABRIKEN
Looking for a great lunch in Majorna on a Friday? Then you’re warmly welcome to Bamba Fixfabriken. We serve lunch every Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., and of course the bar is open for those who’d like a drink with their meal.
Gothenburg's Most Fun Quiz
Bamba hosts one of Gothenburg’s longest-running quizzes, with the first one held nearly 10 years ago. Today, you can test your knowledge at both Fixfabriken and Masthugget. Every other Tuesday, there’s a quiz at Fixfabriken in Majorna, and every Wednesday, David Vinqvist hosts the event at Masthugget.
