Celebrate Chile's National Day in Gothenburg: A weekend full of food and community
September 18 is Chile's National Day! To celebrate this special day, we invite you to join us for a weekend of festivities, delicious food and fellowship. We'll be celebrating on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and we promise it will be an event you won't want to miss!
Chef Emiliano takes you on a culinary journey
Our chef Emiliano, who has his roots in Chile, has put together a menu that is as authentic as it is delicious. Emiliano has a deep love for his homeland and its rich food culture. Throughout the weekend, we will serve classic Chilean dishes that are filled with flavors, spices and traditions.
What can you expect?
- Empanadas de Pino: Perhaps Chile's most famous dish, these flavorful dumplings filled with ground beef, onions, olives and eggs will make you feel like you're at a fiesta in Santiago.
- Asado a la Chilena: A traditional Chilean barbecue with juicy meat, sausages and vegetables, served with chimichurri and pebre - a rich salsa that adds zest to every bite.
- Pastel de Choclo: A tasty corn and minced meat gratin that is a must during National Day celebrations in Chile.
- Chilenito: A sweet ending to the meal with these little filled cakes, a perfect way to round off the festivities.
Music and Dance
In addition to the culinary experiences, we will also have Chilean music and as always - good drinks. Get carried away by the rhythms of Cueca, Chile's national dance, or sit back and enjoy the sounds of guitars and charangos filling Bamba with a party atmosphere.
